First Flight Wine Bar in the Tampa International Airport is a food and wine adventure located in the main terminal before passing through security. Working alongside HMS Host, this project was created as a place to enjoy wine in a simple, European fashion. A metal canopy floats atop a single core of a back bar created with reinforced steel, and shrouded by rich millwork framework, wine storage, and back lit accents. Vibrant blue blown glass fixtures hang above the heavy, quartzite bar top, and beneath more millwork accented with mosaic glass tiles pulls together the design. Contemporary patterning on the upholstery plays off of the vibrancy and energy of the seating areas and stainless steel accents can be found throughout the modern space.
